About Domino's
Our Vision
No.1 in People
No.1 in Pizza
Our Mission
Sell More Pizza
Have More Fun
Does the name Silvio's Dial-a-Pizza ring a bell? Maybe not, but that was how Domino's
started out in Australia way back in 1978. The very first Domino's store opened
in Springwood five years later in 1983. And we haven't looked back since.
Silvio's name changed to Domino's in 1996, when Silvio's bought the master franchise
to Domino's. It then went on to open over 430 stores in Australia, with over 860
stores worldwide. That's a lot of pizza.
Domino's Pizza Enterprises (DPE) is the largest franchise in Domino's, and in May
2005 it was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. The move confirmed Domino's
as the nation's no.1 pizza maker. Something we're proud of to this day. It also
means great career opportunities in five countries for all of our employees
When we're not having fun making spectacular pizzas, we're also involved in the
following worthwhile projects:
Partners Foundation
Since 1997 the Foundation has assisted many Domino's team members who have encountered
financial and emotional hardship. Team members can donate as little as 50 cents
per week from their salary.
Disaster Relief
We believe that where possible Domino's should help people that are less fortunate
than ourselves. When a national disaster strikes, Domino's is often the first to
assist local people with a free supply of food.
